Australian indie rockers Jebediah have returned with their sophomore album "Slightly Odway", and it's a rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish. Opening track "Leaving Home" kicks things off with a bang, setting the tone for the rest of the album with its infectious energy and catchy hooks. Lead singer Kevin Mitchell's vocals are on top form throughout, carrying the listener through the highs and lows of the band's journey. The standout track of the album has to be "Jerks of Attention", a punky anthem that will have you jumping around the room in no time. The lyrics are witty and relatable, poking fun at the self-absorbed jerks that we all encounter in our lives. However, not every track on "Slightly Odway" hits the mark. "Run of the Company" feels a bit pedestrian compared to the rest of the album, lacking the spark that makes the other songs so memorable. Overall, Jebediah have delivered a solid follow-up to their debut album. While it may not reach the heights of "Slightly Odway", there are still plenty of gems to be found here. So pour yourself a pint of Fosters, put on your dancing shoes, and give this album a spin. It's a ripper, mate. Cheers!
