There are master volume controls for A and B- in mono mode only volume A is used. This mixer can be powered by the supplied power supply or via a PP3 battery(sold separately)- making this a totally portable mixer. The peak lights have two functions- to let you know there is power to the mixer via the PSU or battery- they also flash brighter when a high input signal is detected. This is a handy mixer to use own its own or can be added to a lager mixer to increase the amount of mixing channels you have to hand..
